Terms & Conditions

Custom puppet payment terms

My custom puppets start at £450 and increase depending on complexity. To get a quote, please email me at fopdoodlesart@gmail.com or send me a message via the live chat in the bottom right corner. Quotes are valid for 3 months.

For all custom puppet orders, a non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure your place in the queue and cover the cost of initial materials. No work will begin until this deposit has been received.

If requested, the deposit also includes a rough concept sketch of your puppet design.

The remaining balance must be paid in full before your puppet is shipped. Shipping costs are calculated once the puppet is complete, based on its final size and weight, and will be included in the final invoice.

Please note that custom puppets are made to order, and therefore orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once placed.

You will receive work-in-progress photos throughout the build, allowing you to request minor adjustments before the puppet reaches a stage where changes become difficult. Significant alterations to the design or construction may incur an additional fee.

Deposits and payment plans

All custom puppet orders require a non-refundable £100 deposit to secure your place in the build queue and cover the cost of initial materials. This deposit may also include a rough concept sketch of your puppet in my style, if requested.

Due to the higher cost of many custom builds, payment plans are available. Payments can be made via bank transfer for UK customers or through PayPal invoices for international clients. Work on your puppet will begin once the initial deposit has been received, and the final payment must be completed before the finished puppet is shipped.

Shipping

Postage and shipping are available for both custom and premade puppets. Shipping costs are calculated once the puppet has been completed, based on its final size and weight, though I can provide an initial estimate upon request. All parcels are sent with tracking and full insurance to ensure your puppet arrives safely — no cutting corners.

For international customers, please note that you are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees that may apply in your country.

Once dispatched, delivery times are subject to the postal or courier service used, and I cannot be held responsible for any delays once the package is in transit.

If you are located in South Wales, we can potentially arrange in-person delivery or collection by mutual agreement.

A note on intellectual property

By commissioning a custom puppet, you confirm that you own or have permission to use any characters, designs, or likenesses you request to be recreated. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that their commission does not infringe on any copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

I reserve the right to decline any commission that appears to violate these rights. All original puppet designs created by me remain my intellectual property, and I may display photos or videos of completed work for portfolio and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Puppet Safety

All puppets are handcrafted art pieces intended for performance, display, or collection purposes, and are not toys.

They have not been CE or UKCA tested, and therefore are not suitable for children or for use as playthings. By purchasing a puppet, you acknowledge that it is a piece of creative artwork and agree to handle it with appropriate care.
